For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.   2 Chronicles 16:9a  NIV

Do you need some strength from the Lord today?  In these verses, the prophet Hanani is chastising Judah’s King Asa for seeking help from other sources rather than seeking help from God.  How often am I guilty of doing the same thing?  How amazing is it that the Creator of the universe stands ready to strengthen and help us when we call out to Him?   Because of Christ, there is no spiritual battle that we fight alone. He promises us His strength in every situation.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being a mighty warrior and my source of strength.  Forgive me for the times that I try to serve You in my own strength or seek alternate solutions before seeking You first.  Help me use the strength that You give me to strengthen and bless others for their good and Your glory.
