Oh, what a miserable person I am!  Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?  Thank God!  The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.  So, you see how it is:  In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin. 

Romans 7:24-25 NLT

Can you relate to Paul’s struggle?  Confession can be downright painful.  As a Christ follower, I am assured that all my past, present, and future sins have been paid for by the precious blood of The Lamb.  However, my sin struggle is real as I await a future that no longer contains sin.  God knows our hearts and stands ready to help us as we repent and run to Him when our flesh is weak.  

Heavenly Father,

I don’t want anything to disrupt the sweet fellowship that I have with You. Search me and reveal to me anything that is grievous to You.  Help me be quick to repent and to obey.  Thank You for the underserved grace and forgiveness that You lavish upon me.  Let my greatest desire be to please and glorify You today and every day.

I love You, Lord Jesus.
