And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.  He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Revelation 21:3-4 ESV

My husband has a recording of a football game that ends with his favorite team defeating the rival team in the very last second.  Even though he knows who wins the game, he still likes to watch this victory over and over.  The last 2 chapters of the book of Revelation are like that for me.  It may look like evil is winning in this world, but God is The Victor!  A glorious future awaits those who are In Christ.   Read the end of the story over again and be encouraged. 

Heavenly Father,

I praise and thank You for the battle that You have won over death and for the joyful future that awaits me. Thank You for being my Promise-Keeper and my Bridegroom and for preparing a place where there is no more grief and sorrow.  Send me to someone today who needs to hear this good news.  

I love You, Lord.
