There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 (NAS)
We have all said or done things we wish we could undo, but you can’t change the past. It is imperative to understand though, that living a life of forgiveness includes forgiving yourself. The devil would love for you to keep reliving past sins, because if you continue to replay your moments of shame, you won’t move forward in the life Jesus saved you for. We are not meant to pay forever for our mistakes. If you are saved, God has forgiven you once and for all. This is not based on the size of your sin, but on what Jesus did for you. God does not revisit your past. You can accept with joy the fact that you are completely restored to Him.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for Your forgiveness and restoration. I choose to receive it completely, and let go of guilt and shame. If thoughts of past wrongs come to mind, please remind me that You have done all that is necessary for me to live my life for You-victoriously!
I love You, Lord.
Amen
