See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are.  1 John 3:1a   (NAS)

The apostle John invites us to take notice of the great favor God has granted us to call us His own. The blessing does not come by our own nature or anything we have done to earn it, but by the grace of adoption, in which we receive an inheritance we have no right to claim. The source of it is the everlasting, unchanging love of God. We had no value of our own to offer Him, but He chose us, and for that reason alone, we can be truly joyful and grateful. Take time to offer thanks for this amazing gift. Your heavenly Father loves you immeasurably.

Dear Lord,

How can I thank You enough for Your love, mercy, and grace? My heart’s desire is to honor and glorify You in all I do. Thank You for choosing me to be Your child. My heart is full.
