But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.   Acts 1:8 (NIV)

The moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we enter into a covenant relationship with Him. Jesus’ promises to us include forgiveness, provision, and eternal life in the presence of the Lord. Man’s part in this sacred relationship involves repenting of sin and confessing faith in Jesus. We are also to live our lives dedicated to Him and to share the gospel so that others may hear and believe. This can be a daunting task, but the Lord promises that the Holy Spirit will empower us. Reflect upon the people in your lives. Do they know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior? If not, will you be the one to share the good news?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You that you for being my provider and my source of strength. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is so easy to be distracted by the busyness of life and to lose sight of the importance of being Your voice to the lost. Please touch my heart with the urgency to share the Gospel. I seek your wisdom and strength as You provide me opportunities to share your good news. Remind me that I am your vessel, and You hold me in the palm of Your Hand. I trust You to provide the necessary words by the power of the Holy Spirit.
