And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. 2 John 1:6 (NIV)
As children of God, we are called to walk in faith and obedience to our Lord. His ways are better than our ways. We can trust Him, even when His way seems unclear. The Bible is filled with examples of believers who placed their trust in God and followed His commands: Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Rahab, and many others. Scripture relates the blessings of these believers, who chose to follow God’s ways and not their own, to encourage us to do the same. Why would we ever doubt God’s ways? Instead, let’s remember God’s numerous promises to us. He is for us and never against us! Our faith and obedience are expressions of our love and gratitude to our Father, and they come from a heart that seeks to do His will.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being my Shepherd, my Strong Tower, and my Savior. Help me to trust You fully, even when I do not understand Your ways. Give me a willing and joyful heart to obey You. Help me to grow in faith as I study Your Word and understand the immense love You have for me. Let my life reflect my deep love for You through my steadfast faith and obedience.
I love you, Lord,
Amen.
