Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Rom 12:12 (NIV)
How do you have joy, patience, and faith when your world seems to be falling apart? In this life, we all experience tribulation. The burdens are heavy and sometimes we feel like we are in an unrelenting storm. We pray for God to solve our problems and wonder why He doesn’t take the troubles away. It is ok to ask why, though we may never fully understand the reasons. The Lord sees and knows our afflictions, and He is always with us during the storm. Being faithful in prayer, we remember His wisdom and love, and we can trust that the way He answers is best. We live in a fallen world and problems will always arise. But when we depend on God for hope, patience, and faith, we will never be disappointed. Only He can provide these precious gifts.
Dear Lord,
Help me not to let troubles overwhelm me. Remind to prayerfully bring all my needs to You. You are my hope and joy. I will trust that what You desire for me is best. I may never understand the way You choose for me, but I trust You and Your perfect provision in my life.
I love You, Lord.
Amen
