Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.  Matthew 7: 24-25 NAS

Throughout this week we have read Jesus’ promised blessings to those who hear His Word and act on it. These same promises are available to us; within the pages of Scripture, we find His message and our hope. Jesus has promised that when we build our lives upon the firm foundation oof His Word, the storms of life will not destroy us. Nothing in this world can protect us. Jesus alone is our strong rock.

Dear Lord,

I know that Your Word is the source of all truth, and I want to be counted among the wise, who build their lives on the solid rock of Your teaching. You are my strong tower, and I am completely safe through the worst storms of life because of You. Thank You for being my Savior and my God.
