O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your Holy Hill?

He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart. 

Psalm 15:1-2 (NAS)

Where else would anyone rather be? The tent (tabernacle)was the place where man and God would meet through the intervention of the priests. But the psalmist’s longing is to always live in God’s presence. Wondering who can do that, he describes the conduct of one whose life reflects his closeness to the Lord. When we seek Him through His Word with humility and a teachable spirit, we can truly abide with Him and His Spirit abides within us. We can dwell on His Holy Hill.

Heavenly Father,

It is my heart’s desire to live in awareness of Your presence. I long for Your love, Your righteousness and Your truth to be evident in me. Please search my heart and reveal anything that offends You. Convict me and teach me, so that I may honor You.

I love You, Lord.
