But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”   1Peter 1:16 (NAS)

Our new birth in the Spirit gives us a new relationship with God. He predestined us to be conformed to the likeness of His Son. He has already saved us; now He tells us to conduct ourselves in such a way that we are always growing, always becoming more like Jesus. God calls us not just to do things differently, but to be different. That involves spiritual growth and personal awareness. Holiness is possible only if we continually look to God through His Word. How can you be more like Jesus today?

Heavenly Father,

I know I can’t be holy in my own strength, but You are gracious, and Your Holy Spirit lives within me. Please show me how to become more Christlike. Help me grow in grace and wisdom as I daily seek to follow You.
