“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”   John 17:20-21 ESV

John records one of Jesus’ last prayers before being arrested, and it is amazing to realize that you and I are included in that prayer.  He knows what it is like to be us.  He knows our hurts, our failures, our struggles, yet He gives us divine resources and helps us in our need.  Through His victory over death, we are now united with Him forever and united to each other as His body.  “Jesus paid it all.  All to Him I owe.”

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for interceding for me even in Your darkest hour.  Thank You that You continue to intercede for me when I don’t have the words to pray.  Thank You for redeeming me so that we can be forever united.  Let Your Light shine brightly through me and use me for Your glory.

I love You, Lord.
