“The LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there He placed the man He had formed.” Genesis 2:8 (CSB)

“The LORD God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to work it and watch over it.”  Gen. 2:15 (CSB)

Don’t you love a garden in Spring? Leaves on the trees and flowers burst open in beautiful sequence. We say goodbye to cold, bleak winter days. Spring is a time of new growth and restoration. Sometimes we need new growth and restoration, too. God is the Great Gardener. He can restore us to Himself and spark new growth in our souls. He enables and equips us with the Holy Spirit to direct our paths.

God designed and planted the Garden of Eden. He created Adam and Eve to work and watch that garden. We all know what happened there. They chose to sin, which resulted in separation from God.  The Lord gives us choices today. We can either seek to walk with the Lord or walk our own way. Do you want to be reconciled to God this spring? Are you ready for new growth with the Lord? He wants that for us too.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for Spring and the new growth it brings. Help me slow down and take it in with all my senses. Remind me to listen for the birds and smell the flowers in bloom. Thank You for allowing me to experience another Spring. Help me to restore and strengthen my relationship with You. As the cold days of winter fade and the warmth of spring progresses, I thank You God for Your beautiful provision. I praise Your name!

I love You Lord, Amen.
