Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:9-10 (NIV)
God calls us to be peacemakers, bringing His love and truth into a world filled with conflict. True peace isn’t just avoiding arguments but actively working for reconciliation and unity through Christ. When we stand for righteousness we may face opposition or persecution; but Jesus reminds us that suffering for His sake is a sign of belonging to His kingdom. The world may reject us, but God sees, strengthens, and rewards our faithfulness. No matter the challenges, we can find joy in knowing that our ultimate reward is eternal life with Him. Are there situations in which you can intentionally be a peacemaker, while standing firm in your faith today?
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are my Redeemer, Savior, and Lord. Thank you for the sacrifice of Your Son for my salvation and eternal life. Please grant me the integrity, character, and strength to bring peace in my work place, school, home, and heart. Forgive me when I have chosen to remain silent, instead of intervening for peace. Help me to keep my focus on You. Help me to remember that I am a temporary resident on Earth. While I am here, empower me to complete Your Work to the best of my abilities. Let me always remember that I am a citizen of Your Kingdom; but for now, I am Your Light to a lost and dying world.
I love you Lord, AMEN.
