Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.  Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:7-8 (NIV)

God has shown us immeasurable mercy, forgiving us when we don’t deserve it. As His followers, we are called to extend that same mercy to others, reflecting His love and grace. A pure heart seeks God sincerely, without selfish motives. When we pursue purity, we experience a closer relationship with Him and begin to see His presence more clearly in our lives. Those who show mercy and strive for purity will find themselves embraced by God’s love and guided by His truth.  How can you show mercy to others and seek a pure heart today?

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude for the grace and mercy You show me.  I ask that You guide my steps today and help me to be a light to those around me. I pray for the strength to face the challenges that may come my way and for the wisdom to make good decisions. Please give me the courage to speak up with kindness for what is right, and to love others as You love me.
