Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.  Matthew 5:5-6 (NIV)

The world often values power and pride, but Jesus teaches that true blessing comes through meekness. Meekness is not weakness; it is strength under God’s control, trusting Him to lead and provide. When we hunger and thirst for righteousness, we are longing for God’s presence above all else. The more we seek Him, the more He fills us with His peace and purpose. Instead of chasing after earthly satisfaction, we find that true joy comes from living in alignment with God’s will.  How can you seek God’s goodness today?

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before You today seeking the wisdom to recognize and understand my need for You. I pray that You will help me to be gentle in all my ways and show kindness and compassion to those around me. I trust in Your promise that the gentle shall inherit the earth, and I pray that You would help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. May I always seek to do Your will and follow Your ways, knowing that You have great plans for my life. Thank You for Your love and grace, and for the promise of a bright future.
