Morning Moments at FBC Senoia

Starting everyday with the JOY of the Lord!

Friday March 21, 2025

But Moses said to the Lord,” Oh my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.”  Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you should speak.” Exodus 4:10-12 ESV

Have you ever found yourself making this same argument with the Lord?  I know I have.  Sometimes I feel the nudge of the Holy Spirit leading me to serve in an area where I don’t feel confident or qualified.   In those times, I am guilty of focusing on my own gifts or abilities instead of relying on the power of God to work through me.  Thankfully God can use broken and weak people to accomplish His will, not because of our abilities but because He is able to do all things.

Heavenly Father,

I am weak but You are strong.  Forgive me for the times I doubt Your power and strength to work through me, or for saying, “Lord send someone else.”  Help me to have the courage and trust to step out of my comfort zone into whatever You call me to do, keeping my eyes firmly focused on You.  Thank you for the privilege of serving You in this world.   Help me to remember that the same God who was with Moses is at work in me.  Give me the words to share the gospel in a lost world and to trust You with the results.  I praise You today for being my all-powerful Provider.

I love You, Lord, Amen.
