Genesis 1:31 NIV – Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,^[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”  

Genesis 1:26 NIV – God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

What an honor and responsibility it is to be created in God’s image! Out of all creation, we alone reflect His divine nature. God blessed mankind with the ability to govern all He created. He gifted us with reasoning, language, and a sense of purpose. God treasures us and considers us valuable. He looked upon His creation on the sixth day and declared it “very good.”  Do you live in awareness of our standing in Him?  As image-bearers of Christ, we are the recipients of His countless blessings, lovingly and masterfully designed by His hand.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are my Creator, Savior, and Lord. Guide me to live a life that honors and glorifies You. Grant me wisdom to use the gifts that You have so graciously given me. Help me to be mindful of opportunities You place before me to share Your love with others, never becoming so consumed by daily life that I miss them. Let my words honor You. I am truly grateful for Your love and constant care.
