Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.  Luke 12:6-7 (NIV)   

How often have you thought that your “small” life doesn’t really make a difference in this big world?  Most of us have probably thought that at one time or another. God, however, values you more than you will ever fully comprehend. You are His creation. He knows even the number of hairs on your head. 

God created the sparrows with the ability to build nests, find food and care for their young. If He equipped the birds, think how much more God has equipped you to live a joy filled, purposeful life in Him. You are valued by your Creator. God sent His only Son, Jesus, as a living sacrifice on your behalf. That is how much He values you.

Lord, 

Please help me to remember just how much You love and care for me. Forgive me for not being grateful to You for Your sacrifice. Thank you for loving me so much that You sent Your Son Jesus to the cross for my sins. Thank you for allowing me to spend eternity with You because of Your sacrifice.
