Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 

Ephesians 6:17 (NIV).

The helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (God’s Word) complete of the Armor of God and equip us for victory in our daily battles. The mind is the primary battlefield for spiritual struggles. The Lord writes His Truth in our hearts, while the enemy seeks to replace that truth with deception and worry. In times of struggle, the Word of God we have kept in our hearts enables us to be overcomers.  Are you covered by the full Armor of God today?

Dear Heavenly Father,

I praise You for being my strength, my shield, and my defender.  I look to You today and every day to give me the power to overcome the arrows of the enemy.  Please protect me from materialism, pride, and worldly distractions.  Help me keep my focus on You and let my life be a testimony to Your grace and mercy.  Thank you for all You do for me each day and make me aware of every blessing You graciously provide.
