Peace is a defining aspect of God’s character, and we experience His genuine peace when we are united with Him through Jesus.  One of Satan’s most effective tactics to disrupt our relationship with Christ is to tempt us to worry. When worry overtakes us, our peace fades. However, we can remain steadfast and secure through God and His Word. Just as a shield offers protection in battle, our faith guards us during trials. Embrace your shield of faith by remembering who you are and Whose you are!

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are worthy of all my praise!  Today, I choose to put on the shoes of peace and the shield of faith so that I stand firm on the foundation of Jesus Christ and in His peace.  Lord, please strengthen me so that I may use my shield of faith to extinguish every attack Satan throws at me-whether spiritual, physical, mental, or emotional.  Lord, help me remember that I am Your treasured creation and You love me dearly.  I know I can do all things through You.
