Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.    Psalm 37:4 ESV

God promises to give us our heart’s desire, but He knows that only He can satisfy the deep longings within us.  Do you have times of restlessness? Searching? Lack of peace?   As Christ followers, we know that the desires of our heart start with a Person.  Run to Him and delight in His love for you.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for Your ever-abiding presence.  In my busy-ness do not let me neglect my most urgent need, which is time with You.  Remind me to run to You when I hunger after things of this world that do not truly satisfy.  Let my desires be aligned with Your desires.  Send me to someone who is searching to fill a void in their life that only you can fill.  Give me opportunities to share the Bread of Life with a hungry world.
