Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the scriptures daily to see if these things were so.    Acts 17:11 ESV

Are you feeling overwhelmed at the amount of information coming at us every day?  We can wonder what is truth and what is propaganda.  Jesus warned that deception would abound in these days, even within the church.  He has given us his living Word as a treasure to guide us and help us navigate in uncertain times.  Let us be like the Bereans, receiving the word eagerly and using His Word as our plumb line for truth.  

Dear Lord,

Thank You for being the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Thank You for giving wisdom abundantly to those who ask.  I need Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Help me to recognize falsehoods when I hear them.  Correct any falsehoods that I have believed or misunderstood. Help me to see something new about You that I have never seen before.  Let any knowledge that I gain help me to love You and love others more and not puff me up.  Help me to seek You first.  Direct my steps according to Your Word.
