Behold, God is my helper;

The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.   Psalm 54:4 NAS

What an amazing verse! God- the omnipotent God of all creation- tells us in His Word that He is our helper! Do you see how much He loves us? And He not only helps us in every aspect of our lives, but He alone nurtures and preserves our souls. Amidst all the trials, temptations and discouragements of this world, God promises to sustain our souls. And He is faithful in all His promises.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the truth of Your Word. I confess that I need Your help. I lay down my pride and admit that I can do nothing worthwhile apart from You. I praise You for all the ways You have protected and cared for me throughout my life. You have held me through the years, and I know that You will continue to do so. All my dependence is on You, Father, and I am so grateful.
