Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if not I would have told you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3 CSB
Are you looking forward to the future with anticipation? Israel had awaited the Messiah for many years before He finally arrived at just the right time. Praise God that we are alive at this time in history! We have the Word of God written and preserved for us. We have the indwelling Holy Spirit and the Prince of Peace. Christ came the first time, exactly as promised and we can be assured that in the fullness of time, He will return. Perhaps even today……
Father God,
Help us to live with the expectant anticipation that something wonderful is coming. You hold every detail of our lives in Your all-sufficient hands. Thank you for being a Promise Keeper. Fill us to overflowing with Your Holy Spirit today. Keep our lamps lit brightly in anticipation of our Bridegroom. Keep our eyes focused on You. Help us to make the best use of the time You have given us to boldly proclaim our source of hope to a lost and dying world.
We love you, Lord. Amen
