I rejoiced in the Lord greatly because once again you renewed your care for me. You were, in fact, concerned about me but lacked the opportunity to show it. I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I find myself.”

Are you content with your life? Do you often think, “If only…?” If only I didn’t have this health issue, family issue, financial issue or this unhealthy relationship, my life would be so different than it is now. We have all had those thoughts and feelings. Paul, who was in prison when he wrote those verses, trusted the Lord completely. Because of Paul’s faith and trust in the Lord, he learned to be content no matter his circumstances.

Dear Lord,

Please help me not just to see my troubles, worries and fears. Help me to rest and depend on You in all circumstances. You know everything in my life, my needs, my heart. Help me to realize that You are always more than “enough.” You are God, You are always with me, and I can always trust You.  Thank you, Lord Jesus.
