Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.  But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may be glad when His glory is revealed.  1 Peter 4:12-13 ESV

God uses our brokenness to mature us and bring us closer to Him.  Sometimes we go through trials just for being part of God’s kingdom and a stranger in this world.  Other times, we may go through trials to mature our faith and draw us closer to Christ.  Are you going through a trial at this time?  God welcomes our honest lament.  Run to Him who is able to understand any trial that we are facing and promises to use it for our good and for His glory.

Prayer:

Father God, all that we are and all that we have belong to You.  Thank You for Your Presence in times of suffering.   Thank You that nothing is wasted but is always used for Your good purposes.  
Thank You for what You suffered on our behalf, to rescue us out of this dark world and give us eternal life with You.  We lay our burdens at Your feet this morning and ask You to take our weaknesses and give us Your strength to face anything that comes our way today.
