Come to Me, all you who labor and burden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28–30 (NIV)

These verses invite you to come to Jesus when you are feeling weary or burdened.  In Him, you will find rest and peace.  Surrender your struggles to Him, learn from His teachings, and find peace in knowing that He is willing to exchange His ways for your burdens.  Have you shared your worries with the Lord today?  Have you thanked Him for the many blessings He has gifted you?

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I praise you for your compassion, your grace, and your mercy.  I lift up thanks to you for your word that I can hold those verses close to my heart and believe the promises written within.  Lord, help me to have an open conversation with you daily, sharing my worries and concerns because I know your mercy endures forever, and you are a good and faithful God.  God, I know you deliver your children from distress and darkness, and I place my worries at your feet and look to you for direction and guidance.

I love you, Lord.  Amen.
