In the Greek, Abba means daddy. As a child of the One True God, you have the privilege of having a “daddy” relationship with the Father.  Do you have this intimate relationship with your Heavenly Father, the Creator of the Universe and the one who knows the numbers of hairs on your head?  Do you trust him with all areas of your life?  You can crawl into His lap, put your arms around Him, and know the infinite love He has for you, His child.  When the worries and pressures of this world enter your spirit today, take a deep breath, crawl into your Abba Father’s lap, and pour your heart out to Him because he cares so deeply for you. 

Prayer:

Dear Abba Father,

Thank you for the gift of this day that I may grow in my relationship with you, Lord.  Please strengthen me for what the day holds and continually remind me to look toward you for favor and resolution of my worries.  Help me to remember that you are my Abba Daddy, and you love me more than I can comprehend.  When I am stressed, please help me to count my many blessings and to return to the joy of my salvation. Thank you for loving me through my turmoil and sin.
