And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NIV).

The focus of the Scriptures this week is overcoming worry.  Paul wrote these words above to the church in Philippi to encourage those believers in their faithfulness.  These words are equally applicable to you today. Worries can be debilitating to your Christian walk.  Do your worries cause you to focus on things of this world rather than on the Lord Jesus Christ?  Do you believe that The Lord will meet all your needs?  Take heart in the promise that He loves you deeply and knows you better than you know yourself!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, Lord, for being the omniscient God whom I can approach with confidence.  I lay my worries at your feet and ask for your guidance and answers as I face the challenges of this world, on a daily basis.  Lord, strengthen me to lean on your word and engage in prayer so that I may remain at peace and worry no longer. I trust you Lord with all my worries and needs.  Please meet my needs according to your will and not my own.

Lord, thank you for loving me when I am so undeserving.
