Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9 (CSB)
Do you sometimes feel you just can’t squeeze another moment into your day? Have you been asked again to help someone in need but you need more time (or let’s be honest…. more money) to do that? Do an assessment of where your time is spent. Determine if there are tasks that can be given to someone else that would allow you to meet this new request. Can you allocate your money in a different way to support this request? Sometimes, you just can’t help when asked, and that’s okay. God knows you are focused on doing good. He will bring you the opportunities to do good and rely on you to manage it to the best of your ability.
Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Today is the day you have made, let us be glad in it. You know what today will bring, and what tomorrow’s needs will be. The author of Galatians reminds us not to neglect to do good, because good deeds are pleasing to you, Lord. Help us share in the good works you have prepared for us to do for the people you have placed in our lives. Help us not miss the opportunities you place in our way. Guide our day as we shift and balance our priorities to put the priorities in the right place to honor you.
I love you, Lord. Amen.
