Morning Moments at FBC Senoia

Starting everyday with the JOY of the Lord!

Now my soul has become troubled: and what shall I say, “Father, save me from this hour?” But for this purpose, I came to this hour. Father, glorify thy name.” There came therefore a voice out of heaven: “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.” ”   John 12:27-28 (NAS)

Our lives are ever-changing, and all of us face difficult, painful times that seem overwhelming. Jesus doesn’t condemn us for being troubled in spirit – He walked that road. He shows us how to bear our burden by immediately turning to the Father and saying, “Glorify thy name.” It may not be easy to submit to God’s will, but he always has a plan and a purpose. If we continue in worry and anxious thoughts, we deny ourselves the strength and peace of Jesus, who understands our pain.

Prayer:

Dear Lord,

Thank You for being a kind and loving Father. I don’t understand why circumstance are so hard, but I know I can trust you. You always have been and always will be faithful. When I am troubled, remind me run to you, run to your word, and run to prayer. Then I will find peace, grace, and rest.

I love you, Lord. Amen.
