Pause a moment and think about these verses. Are you mindful of the words you say and the way you say them? Consider your words carefully. They have a powerful impact, whether for good or for ill.

Prayer:

Dear Lord,

Out of all your creation, you blessed man alone with unique power of speech. I want to honor you by speaking life giving words and not ones that wound or destroy. Please help me to be more aware of the impact of my words. Remind me to speak encouragement, peace, and blessing. Help me to speak kindly and lovingly. Teach me to speak life.
